TexTango: Possibly the Worst Idea Ever (serve banner ads on your texts, maybe get cash!)

This was just featured on the local news. Wonder how much they paid for that puff piece?

If you send these texts, you "may eventually" get paid one penny to ten cents per message. But you have to put their banner ads on it, which turns it into a MMS (costs more, if applicable i.e. your recipient who doesn't pay for unlimited MMS to send these ridiculous ads) and has the side effect of pissing off anyone you text, and probably getting your number blocked.
