I just got a call from Mike Huckabee asking me to telephonically sign a petition

It seems a strange way to collect signatures. Would such a petition be recognized or is this really a feeler for campaign prospects?

The interactive part is meaningless, marketers love interaction though since it engages the audience.

I say encourage him, Huckabee is probably unacceptable to at least a good 60% of the GOP coalition, so if he does well that could push the GOP over the edge into the dustbin of history.
