The Orange County School Board voted unanimously Tuesday night to close the school despite pleas from Imani staffers and parents to reconsider. Imani's 72 students will need to enroll in new schools with less than a month remaining before summer break.

Bernier showed that the school opened despite district warnings that it was not ready and that a rushed opening could lead to debt, which it did.
