Comcast loses Google and Wikipedia
I can get to most websites, including DU, but Comcast seems to have misplaced Google and Wikipedia this afternoon. Not good, since I'm researching stuff for my work today. Feh! We need a good Internet service. Comcast ain't it.

Going to try another DNS server now.

5. If it's selectively lost those two, it might be a downed connection rather than a DNS problem.
A high level broken connection (say, a downed router) on the route that normally carries traffic from you to the backbones supplying Google and Wikipedia would probably account for why they were absent, but other things were accessible.

6. Could be, I suppose. Still, it's damned unreliable, and
Wikipedia is often unavailable here. Most annoying.

9. No problem with either site on Comcast.
I'm in Georgia, so it must be a problem within your area.
