From the website of the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter:
"As most of you are aware, the southern states took a huge hit during the week of April 25 - April 28 and one of hardest hit areas was the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area which is where Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter is located. Luckily we got through the tornado outbreak with minimal damage but we're still without power & without phone lines. We are asking all of you to find it in your hearts to donate whatever amount you can to the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter to help keep things going so that the animals that are without homes can keep getting the care they're needing and so that we can keep working hard to find them permanent, loving homes to be adopted to. We know everyone's watching their money closer than ever these days with the way the economy is but if you can find it in your heart to make a donation in whatever amount you're able to give it'd go a long way in helping us help these animals. Your donation is tax-deductible as we are a 501c-3 non-profit organization.
Since we're still without power and without phones please mail your check/money order to this address:
Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter
3140 35th St.
Tuscaloosa, AL 35401"
I assume those of us who can afford to have donated to the
Red Cross (or other organization they are comfortable with) to alleviate the horrible toll of human suffering our fellow citizens in the South are going through.
Now, if you have anything left, perhaps you might consider their wee beasties....
