Grayson: Bush has probably been ‘passed out drunk’ since Osama bin Laden kill
Posted on 05.7.11
By Kase Wickman

Alan Grayson appeared on MSNBC’s The Ed Show, where host Ed Schultz asked him if he thought former President George W. Bush deserved more credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden than he has been given, in response to a report that Bush felt he hadn’t been paid his due.

Grayson gave Bush credit for high gas prices and widespread lack of health insurance among other societal ills, calling him “the worst president of my lifetime.” Then he said that former alcoholic Bush “might’ve been passed out drunk for the last three or four days.”

Watch the clip below, which originally aired on MSNBC’s The Ed Show on May 6, 2011.

DimSon says he gave up booze years ago....bullshit.
He was so fucking drunk at the Beijing Olympics he couldn't stand up without help.
Loser and a Liar, THAT he is!

5. There are times to be blunt and I do like Grayson but don't think
an unprovoked blunt personal insult was a good thing there.

If I were the boss of him he'd have answered factually and the truth is insulting enough! It's one thing for us to call bush a drunk but I wish public Dems would do better than that.
I loathe bush and the job he did but very much appreciate him not joining in on the Obama bashing many of his peers did. He has stayed pretty quiet.
There have been times it would have helped if he had spoken out in positive ways but I wasn't shocked he didn't. He is no leader or statesman.
But I appreciate his overall silence.

8. No wonder he lost. I'd expect a comment like that from a DU'er or maybe a comedian. I doubt Keith or
Rachel would say something that grossly inappropriate.

It may be true. Did Grayson visit with the Bush family over the last several years?

why he was a single term representative, and makes one (me) wonder why so many here at DU think he can win a national election - considering the single term career.

15. Speaking strictly for myself, I *like* his attitude and wish more would adopt it.
I am so sick and tired of 'decorum' and 'political correctness' that I could :puke:

Instead of "my colleague on the other side of the aisle misspoke about______", I would LOVE to hear one say "I'm sorry but you're a lying sack of shit who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. How can you stand here and spout this bullshit when you KNOW it's nothing but LIES??"

Fuck a bunch of phony 'decorum', it's laughable...

18. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be saying that
if Grayson had made that joke about Bin Ladin. Bush is an evil war criminal responsible for hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths, the guy deserves no respect from anyone and does deserve to be mercilessly ridiculed by everyone.

No one complains if someone makes a rude joke about Charlie Manson and no one should bat an eye if someone makes an off-color joke about Bush. He is human scum.

25. George W.S. Chimp has never been sober. He has always been a liar.
Anyone who defends Dim Son's "sobriety" here ought to visit this thread. It took me seven attempts over nine years to finally stop drinking and I resent like hell that practicing alcoholic wrapping himself in a cloak of sobriety like a coward wrapping himself in the flag while standing on a bible. Of course, he has had practice at both, now hasn't he?

Keep speaking the truth, Alan. And so will I. K&R.
