Cancelled my OnStar service today after receiving an email telling me to watch "The Apprentice"
That irritated me. I called them up and told them I could not support a company that spent money on racists - end of story. After being transferred through three people and offered a discounted rate - I'm cancelled.

2. Why would they even do that?
What do they gain from it? I don't follow.

6. Good for you.
But, talking to reps at their call center most likely did not accomplish anything...unless they have to enter a reason into their system when they cancelled your service...but even then it may have been entered in as a generic reason, like "changed my mind".

Your verbal comments are not likely to be heard by anyone but the people at the call center. Remember, those people who answer your phone calls don't really do anything for the company besides answer phones.

If you want your message to be heard, try emailing. Or, see if they have a feedback section, and post there.

10. I used to answer phones for a major company.

People told me what they thought of this and that, blah de blah, but at least 99% of it stayed between me and the caller. Sometimes I would compare notes with the other reps in the call center, about what people called about. Then we'd shrug our shoulders and take the next call.

Also, remember that the call center may not even be in the same building or the same city as the rest of the company. The reps may know about the company, but all they do is take calls all day long. Call center reps do not make decisions about what the company does or does not do.

If callers asked me to let management know how they felt about certain things, I directed them to the feedback webpage.

I would like to add that we had a reputation for excellent customer service.

11. Very doubtful that either emailing or filling out a feed back form will work because
companies normally outsource all customer service, what you'd get is a e-customer service reply. Best to mail a letter to the CEO.

how rude, and considering how much he's been trashing our popular badass president - it was pretty stupid of them too.
