WIS Supreme Court Recount 70% as of 5/4, 6:PM - (P) 543,148 -- (K) 500,296 -- Kloppenburg +210
Edited on Wed May-04-11 09:40 PM by Ellipsis
As of 6:00 pm on Wed., May 4, 2011, 2,717 Reporting Units have reported results, which have been reviewed by G.A.B. staff. That is approximately 75 percent of the of the 3,602 total Reporting Units..

So far, counties have recounted 1,044,530 votes, which is approximately 70 percent of the original votes cast in the State Supreme Court race.

In the vote on April 5th, 1,498,880 votes were cast. Prosser received 752,323 while Kloppenburg received 745,007, giving Prosser a lead of 7316 votes.

As of this posting aprox. 454,350 votes have yet to be included in the recount.

Of the 1,498,880 votes cast 1,550 were disallowed.

Here are the current numbers

Prosser---Kloppenburg---Total votes for both Prosser and Kloppenburg
543,148--------500,296--------------------1,044,530
Loss ------------ Gain --------------------- Gain
+271 ---------- +481-------------------- +978

1,086 votes have been disallowed, an additional 226 votes to date.

My apologies for my past enthusiasm. I am taking my numbers from GAB's posted spreadsheets and they qualify it as the unofficial numbers. Indeed they were "unofficial". Yesterdays numbers from GAB were transposed showing a greater number of votes for Kloppenburg then actually recorded. After cross checking GAB's numbers I found a an issue with Wasburn county that I corrected but not entirely before the editing time expired for the OP.

While the numbers do show a modest increase for Kloppenburg, realize that the remaining counties to be counted are mainly democratic with the exception being Waukesha... keep the faith DU. Time will tell.

1. On election night someone posted some suggestions of
using math to suggest that Kloppenburg would win... I don't remember by how much....
