OnStar response to the Donald Trump "Celebrity" sponsorship

OnStar's sponsorship of the reality entertainment series 'Celebrity Apprentice' is separate from, and unrelated to the personal political views of the program's host.

We have 2 09 GM cars with active OnStar accounts and this was the response we got. First over the phone and this follow up e-mail.

Groupon dropped him ASAP. OnStar has a contracted event this Sunday. I've been an advocate of OnStar before this response. Check with me next week to see what my position is. I'm not happy about this at all.

1. The reality is that onStar is no longer "separate from" Trump's politics.
They decided to hitch their onStar to Trump's coat tails and will ride it to the highest peak, or crash to Earth with him depending on how he maneuvers his persona. Fortunately, after the crash a tow truck will be arriving soon.

If a show host was accused of pedophilia would they have a similar response stating they are "unrelated" to the host's legal problems?

2. That show is so low-brow. Just like Don.

3. Groupon never sponsored The Apprentice, per Groupon's own statement.
After it was contacted by folks regarding its nonexistent "sponsorship," Groupon said it would direct their online ad distributor, which places ads on NBC.com, to not place any Groupon ads on The Apprentice's NBC page to avoid controversy.
