Every time I watch Morning Joe I get angry
It is so symbolic of what is so very wrong with this country.

It is all about who you know.

Luke Russert is a highly-paid correspondent only because he is one of them. To be looked after and protected.

Mike Barnicle is on there getting paid because he is friend to the corporation. His ethical shortfalls are easily overlooked.

And their guests are some of the most crooked crooks in all of Washington. William Cohen. They trot him out. I was dazed and confused when Bill Clinton named him Defense Secretary, an actual Republican.

The "liberals" couldn't possibly object to him, because his wife happens to be a black woman.

Cohen's lobbying firm boasts of "centuries of experience at the White House, the State Department, the Defense Department, and Congress."

Our government, even under Obama, is infested with bottom-feeders and vile leeches.

I want to see a bottom-up revolution of sorts. There must be a groundswell of revolt against the likes of the Russerts, the Barnicles, and especially the Cohens and Cheneys. People who trade in a number of years of service to their corporate masters for a lifetime of being pampered by the forces that oppress us all.

It is disturbing, perverted and disturbing.

Obama hasn't even seriously started reforming our system. Our system is for sale. And it has been paid for.

1. Agree...but there will be a chorus
telling you to "Just Turn the F**king Thing off" and others will say they got rid of their cable and you should, too.

Many of us hoped there would be changes with the FCC with a new administration. When the Comcast/GE Deal went through without any anti-trust push back and Net Nutrality took a hit..I knew it was all over. Jeff Immelt, CEO of GE is Obama's Jobs Czar and GE got a bail out during Wall Street Corruption meltdown and tax breaks for sending jobs overseas that means they pay nothing but can use our Government to get whatever breaks they want.

Then there's Ruppert Murdoch. It's too big now. It won't change...so those folks turning it off are trying to save their sanity.

4. Actually, I sorta had some such response in mind when I came in here, but
the OP os making a point that is a lot more important than the reference to the show led me to expect. I don't waste my time watching TV (I have other perfectly good ways of wasting my time), but turning off the TV isn't gonna give us back our Goddamn country. We have to take it back. That's what Wisconsin, Michigan and Egypt are making perfectly clear.

and simply saying turn it off as many will do misses the point entirely.
