I've come to the conclusion that GWB deserves some credit...
Without the Bush Administration's slipshod performance at Tora Bora, and their political and military distraction with Iraq, Osama Bin Laden might not have become as lazy and sloppy with security as he did, allowing the Obama Administration to track him down.

3. Hell, part of the Bush admin CREATED bin Laden when they were the Reagan admin
Cheney and Rumsfeld, amongst others, made bin Laden what he was when the Talibornagains were funding the Taliban against the Soviets.

5. Bush and his cronies NEVER really wanted to actually capture or kill OBL...
nor did they ever believe or want the invasions and occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq to be short, that the latter would "pay for itself" (lol) or that we were going to be greeted as so-called "liberators". OBL continually being on the loose was required and absolutely necessary, in order to use him as a tool to continue ramping up fear and loathing of Muslims and Islamic terrorism. Whenever the Bush administration sensed that public opinion and support of their "war on terrorism' was slipping/sliding, they just pulled out and played their "ace in the hole".
