However, it is known that before 9/11 the Bush family was friendly with the very wealthy bin Laden family. Bush ignored warnings about a possible terrorist attack before 9/11. Then, when our troops had bin Laden cornered in Tora Bora in 2001, someone in his administration called them off. Bush then proceeded to get us into an unnecessary war, which has cost this country dearly and actually made us less safe. In 2005 he basically called the hunt for bin Laden officially off, closing the dept. if the CIA that was for looking for him. I can't believe anyone wants to give Bush any kind of credit.
