There is always a possible comparison between any two things.

Superman was larger than Mighty Mouse. Superman on TV had an introductory monologue. Mighty Mouse had a theme song.

Osama bin Laden was a tyrant, but he wasn't nearly as good at it as Hitler was. Hitler's actions led to the deaths of tens of millions of people. OBL maybe a few hundred thousand, counting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, etc. Hitler was a far more engaging public speaker. Hitler liked dogs, OBL regarded them as filthy animals.

As Thom Hartmann was saying yesterday, keeping bin Laden out there as a boogie man was perfect to make Bush a "war president" because he saw it as the key to keeping the White House.
