I for one am glad that we have people like Seal Team Six that can perform the task professionally and quickly.

YOU WILL ALL NOTE THAT THE MEN WHO TRAINED AND DEPLOYED TO DO THIS HAD THIER VERY SKIN IN THIS GAME.

I find it IMPORTANT that we remember that men in uniform went to kill this fucker. They were all aware they could likely die, yet volunteered over the course of a carreer to put themselves into this position.

Not a drone, not a B-52,

not a tactical nuke.

American men with automatic rifles.

I can accept that.

I find no honor or justification for killing the enemy with rockets or bombs.

For Bin Laden, he got a lot more honor than he gave and that should say something about the young men who took his life.

If you guys can read this....Thanks.

5. Thanks. It's a lot harder to shoot your mouth off if you can loose teeth for doing so.
skin in the game.

What made Bin Ladin dangerous the other night was his up close and personal killing of the Russians during that war......

Bad dude. Be careful.

Seal Team Six did it just right.

8. When I heard the news I mistakenly assumed a cruise missile or JDAM had done the job.
American soldiers were face to face with Bin-Laden when the book was finally closed. They did it right.

13. Assassinating terrorists is one thing; assassinating sitting heads of state is another.
Both of which we have done. I draw a distinction between CIA dirty tricks and this, that's for sure. The US has done pure evil, largely with the CIA at the center. Killing or deposing duly elected heads of state. This was not that, however, for which I am grateful to Obama. This was the only possible thing they could have done. Capturing him didn't make a whole lot of sense (and probably wasn't possible). And it appears like a lot of thought went into it (unlike, say, invading Iraq).

I hate those drones as much as anything else about these stupid wars. I think it is a lot easier to make mistakes when no one's ass is on the line.
