Stephen Harper and his party are scum.Alleged voter fraud and Harper contravened
the Elections Act going On Air to do a radio interview and asking people to vote for him.

Not only has Harper blatantly contravened the Election Act by ignoring the media blackout rule on Election Day but it is alleged that Tories have been committing voter fraud in swing ridings by telephoning advising them poll locations were changed.

Anyone who wants to lodge a compliant can do so by emailing the Commissioner of Canada Elections by email at commissionersoffice@elections.ca.

During the interview Stephen Harper contravined the Elections Canada Act by stating that "It is certain that I will vote, and I encourage all other people to vote, and I encourage people to do the same as me and vote Conservative."

snip

Sections 480 to 499 of the Elections Canada Act detail prohibited activites by candidates during the imposed media blackout on election day in Canada.

This breach of the Elections Canada Act also comes on the heels of alleged voter fraud in swing ridings at risk of losing Conservative control, as voters are being telephoned in these sensitive ridings and falsely being informed that their polling stations have been changed. In some cases voters have been sent as far as one hour away from where they are supposed to be voting by these fraudulant calls.

The Canadian Headlines Examiner on Examiner.com said that "Reports are coming in from key swing ridings in Ontario and other other provinces that voters are being called at home with false information that their voting locations have changed, and in some instances sending voters an hour in the wrong direction" in regards to the voter tampering reports.

12. I think American neocons are heavily involved with Harper and his party.
American corporations are desperate to privatise Canadian healthcare, not only do they want in to the healthcare market but they also want to stomp out socialized medicine as Americans are becoming wise to the fact that socialized medicine isn't inferior to private healthcare.

3. How did he ever get elected in Canada?
I always thought Canadians were smarter than that.

Unless he cheated of course. I'm sure he was getting a lot of advice from Rove, and probably still is.

8. Yes, but he was elected.
And he's been there for quite a while. I just found it odd that such a far rightwinger could get and remain in power for so long in Canada.

Hopefully he will lose now ~ I'll be watching this thread for updates ~

10. Actually 4 way race. As well as the NDP there is the Green Party and the
the Bloc Quebecois which until this year pratically swept all the ridings in Quebec. The reason the NDP now has a chance to get way more seats is that polls in Quebe show the NDP ahead. It looks like they are tired of the Bloc.

BigPharma, BigInsurance and BigMedicine want access to Canadian healthcare dollars. Other US corporations want unfettered access to this market as well - I'm sure the NRA is hankering for laxer gun laws.
