The Donald Lucks Out - He Doesn't Face The Humiliation He Could Have...........

OBL's death took the Correspondent's Dinner humiliation of the Donald off the table. All those jokes by the President and Seth Meyer that would have been played over and over today on the cable news shows have been preempted. The result being that many people that didn't catch them on CSPAN over the weekend - which is a lot of people - will not see them and as a result Trump dodged kind of a bullet because of the monumental news event of OBL.

Don't get me wrong - Trump was humiliated in front of the Washington press and those of us that saw the broadcast or caught the clips at YouTube. However, if OBL didn't buy the farm - you all know that on the cable news shows today - they would have evicerated the Donald by playing them over and over and showing the Donald's reaction.

I think you may be right. Without this news, Trump's humiliation would have gone on longer. But this only mitigates the damage . . . it certainly won't erase it.

3. I think it's worse with the context

At the time, I thought Obama's quips about the Donald having made such a huge decision (firing Busey) were a knockout punch, but now, knowing that when he was delivering those lines, he knew he'd authorized the mission to kill OBL...that is a stone cold kill punch. Trump is done.
