Remember Cynthia Davis, who thinks hunger is a motivator for kids?
She lost her election to the MO House and sent out a farewell message this week.

As I walk out of the Capitol for the last time I know that my priorities have never changed---honoring God and honoring my constituents.

This came at a tremendous personal cost, but it was worth what I paid for it many times over. I value my integrity, and I have the satisfaction of knowing I get to take my integrity with me when I leave. Not everybody can say that.

The price tag? It meant national attention -far more than most of my colleagues- even those in leadership positions. Those who live in my district may not realize that people in Kansas City, Springfield, Joplin, Columbia, New York, California and those who watch MSNBC and Steven Colbert may know more about me than you do. I became the target of several left wing blogs and frequently segments of my Capitol Reports would be quoted within hours of being e-mailed. People in other states would write me who read about what I am saying and accomplishing in Missouri.

The goal of the left wing bloggers is to shame and humiliate those who speak up for common sense America. It is possible that they are so surrounded by socialists that it shocks them to hear someone explain free-market ideology. More likely, they think making a martyr out of an honest mother of seven, grass-roots supported American will intimidate others from daring to state the obvious out of fear of the backlash. It may have worked were it not for the fact that I am defined by my Maker, not what the left-wing blogs say.

2. I think she is a whining bully...

The bullies, homophobes, racists and theocratists are constantly turning their aggression inside out and claiming victimization because they are not allowed to impose their beliefs on everyone else.

9. She can't take care of them. Her 2 year old was found wandering down a highway
a couple years ago on Easter Sunday.

3. A "martyr"? Jeez. She said something thoughtless about
starving children and was properly called out on it.

She has her integrity all right. The integrity of undiluted bullshit.

6. Hunger does not motivate anyone, it makes people angry and ultimately
dangerous to the rest of society. I went hungry a lot as a child, but was lucky enough to have both of my parents at home. They kept me optimistic and pushed me to become the science and business based professional that I am today. One reason why I am so dedicated to giving to food banks is because I went hungry as a child and understand the grinding feeling of hopelessness that an empty stomach brings to a child.

Sound like voters in one Missouri district made an excellent choice, I wish that voters in the Minnesota 6th had provided Taryl Clark with a few more votes and allowed her to have Michelle Bachmann making a similar farewell speech. But I have a sense that Clark will and SHOULD take another shot at Bachmann.

Perhaps her maker is now considering a recall of this product. Her maker has decided she may need a make-ver.

12. She doesn't mention honoring the Constitution as one of her priorities
Her first priority is honoring God? Fine, if that's your bent, but it doesn't belong in your priorities as an office holder.

13. She must motivate her kids by sending them to bed without dinner
Family value ya know. To Republicans, spankings and discipline are a sign of good parenting.
