Teh Popo is going nuts.

Winds from the south, so no possible issues here, sorry about the rest of you.

2. I love Silver Springs....
It's such a cool little area...

My best friend lives there. His front yard is on Silver Springs and his backyard is in Takoma Park.

5. WC, nothing LITTLE about Silver Spring!
Its a HUGE suburb, 'cool' in some areas, I agree.

Just learned its 'unincorporated!'

8. Not sure.
Silver Spring takes its name from a mica-flecked spring discovered there in 1840 by Francis Preston Blair, who subsequently bought much of the surrounding land. Acorn Park, tucked away in an area of south Silver Spring away from the main downtown area, is believed to be the site of the original spring.<3>

11. There used to be a Sheraton not far from there.
It's easy to miss. It's been a few decades since I saw it.
