Why was my thread on the US action in Uganda moved to the 9/11 forum?

It has nothing to do with 9/11, and similar threads concerning concrete speculation about US motives for military involvement in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, etc. etc. have never gone from GD to 9/11. So why this one? Is speculation on US motivation now verboten? Seriously, this is weak.

Usually when that happens, it's because the topic is purely speculative conspiracy stuff.

My humble opinion is that "because there's oil there" is speculation. But it isn't exactly crazy coo-coo talk.

So I understand why they did it. But I think it might not have been necessary.

Major oil discoveries of oil have indeed been made in Uganda, and given the US track record, under Bush and others, hey:shrug:

This type of post, even with "speculation" has always been welcomed in GD. To have it dropped into 9/11 seems petty to me. Hopefully such a thing won't happen again.
