Question.
I was told in a thread I was wrong about the Obama administration continuing to torture people. I posted a reply with a link to an article written by Jeremy Scahill detailing said torture. Now there may have been a comment that broke the rules, not sure, but either way it was deleted. So I reposted the link with no comments. It was also deleted.

I need to know why the link was deleted. I thought Jeremy Scahill was a well respected liberal investigative journalist. I'm quite confused as to why something he wrote would be deleted without comment, and without reason. How can I prove what I am saying if I can't even use respected liberals as a source?

This is an honest question from a 7 year member who has in the past wrote things on this board that have gone viral. I have been a supporter of liberals, Democrats and progressives all my life as long as they act like liberals progressives and Democrats. I stood up for Obama, I worked for him, I donated to him and voted for him, and now I hold his feet to the fire when I think he is screwing up. If this is something you don't want here then please just tell me and I'll make my "GCW" thread and we'll part ways amicably. I can't abide by censorship of well respected liberal journalists.

2. So a link to a Jeremy Scahill article with no comment whatsoever
is a personal attack. Hookay, love the new rules. Especially as they seem to be different for each DU'er.

3. "A link to a Jeremy Scahill article with no comment whatsoever"
That's not correct. You included three paragraphs of your own commentary, including accusing someone of having no credibility and characterizing their behavior on DU. It was very clearly covered by this: "Personal attacks, insults, name-calling, or questioning the character or motives of other DU members; discussing DU members rather than ideas."

4. Yeah I did but after that post was deleted
I reposted the link without any comment and the link was again deleted. Whatever, it's your board.

5. No, you didn't
At no time did you post the link without any comment. Just so we're clear on that.
