Could this be a coincidence or is there a pattern forming? Have you had anyone else bring this up?

You may have to log out and log back in to get it to work, but let me know if you have any problems after that.

3. Thanks a lot for looking into this. I'm still having the same problem, plus a different one now.

When I'm signed in and on one forum (LBN, for example) right click and open another page on another tab (Home, for example) I get signed out.

I have tried clearing all my cookies in XP and in Chrome (version 9.0.597.19 beta) and re-entered my username, the password & checked the box, too.

I have been trying it in Opera (version 11.00) but it's even worse on there. I also tried to use the suggestions for Opera given at sign in but they seem out of date as I can't find the places they direct you to.

4. Too late to edit but I need to add this...

I'm getting logged out when I go from one forum to another now, not just when opening new tabs. Another weird thing is that if I go back, I'm logged in again...

6. That doesn't make sense.

Switching from page to page will not effect your logged in status, especially just by going back. I suspect there is something going on on your end. Have you checked all your security/browser settings? Are you "shift-refreshing" to make sure that you're not loading a cached page from your browser? Have you deleted all your cookies from DU since I made the change yesterday, and then attempted to log back in with the checkbox checked?

7. It really did happen. It's ok now, it was a very weird thing that occurred at the time of posting

I also had a more serious problem signing in which I emailed David about the other day because I couldn't post here about it. Every time I signed in, it said the "If this page does not refresh etc" thing and when the page refreshed itself I was still not logged in. It happened about 5 times in a row until I gave up and emailed David about it.

It seemed to fix itself eventually, though.

As I said above I have deleted cookies. I have also deleted history and temporary files. I am reluctant to delete saved passwords though because that would obviously affect every site I have a password for.
