He just told a "joke" which started by him saying, "President Obama's approval rating is down to 46%. Not good. Yeah, 54% of people do not approve of the job he is doing, which I think is totally unfair. You should at least wait 'til he actually DOES something." (applause)

He has also told many ACORN jokes. And he had Limbaugh on as a guest a couple weeks ago. I'm glad his numbers are tanking.

and he looked like he meant it.

Obama doing nothing is all the rage now and really Saturday night live started and ran with that. Leno might lean right...and he didn't challenge limbaugh but leno just doesn't challenge.
He didn't tell rush it was the best or 2nd or 3rd best night of his life either.

Ed Bagley Jr and Bill Nye the Science Guy play well off each other on "Living With Ed", one of the greatest shows on that network. Sometimes Ed runs into Leno, who is in the "green movement". If you can get past his giant face, way down, he may have a voice in the renewable energy movement, instead of the current stuff he delivers as a bowel movement.

Leno has to be good a something, if we'd only give him more time...

For one thing, The Jay Leno show only costs about $500,000 per episode to make.

The other shows on versus it cost 4 times as much. This means they must pull in 4 times the audience to garner the same net profit. Thus, they must grab 16 million viewers.

I don't think "Eastwick", "Castle", or "The Forgotten" pull in 16 million viewers each. No way. The CBS shows might, but just the three CSIs.

It is highly questionable that the other ABC and CBS 10:00pm shows grab 16 million viewers nightly.

Thus, even if it is in 3rd place in its time slot, it probably is one of the few at 10:00pm making a tidy profit. To NBC, that's more important, that it makes money. Steady money. Steady money now, instead of in syndication a few years from now.

45. Many years ago - like 10 years ago or so - Leno was interviewing an actor

on his show. I don't remember who the actor was. Anyway, this actor had recently moved from NY to California to make a tv series and Leno asked him about the show and living in California. The actor said that he liked California very much except he really missed NY pizza, but it was just as well because he had to lose weight for his role and it was quite a struggle for him to do so.

The next thing I knew Leno had someone bring out a pizza they had flown in from NY and wave it under the actor's nose to generally taunted him with it. You could see the turmoil on the actor's face - here was his favorite food being waved about in front of him while Leno kept saying oh come on, have a slice. The actor declined the pizza several times and it became sort of uncomfortable.

There was an air of mockery in the segment and it was a real turn-off. I thought it was cruel to do that to a guy who confessed to having a struggle with his weight. I never liked Leno after that.
