1. I really wish Obama would fire Geithner and nominate Warren for his position

3. She is one smart cookie!
I would love to see her have a more prominent role. She's very knowledgeable, easy to understand, and isn't afraid to speak her mind.

4. That's what I've thought
since the first time I saw her on TV. She's a smart woman.

7. Would be nice, but I doubt she has the connections that Geithner does...

11. Or to take Jared Bernstein from Biden and make Bernstein the main man.
Bernstein has an impressive resume' - he works for the people.

Warren would be fantastic too.

Obama almost has to do something. Geithner is not helping this administration.

5. I was very impressed with her
the first time I saw her - and it continues.

I've never seen the guy who interviewed her, but he was asking some right-on questions.

8. Me too, Dylan Ratigan was on CNBC for years and had his own show...
called Fast Money where he had four traders/money managers on the show and then an occasional guest, you could tell that he was becoming angry as the bank bailouts moved along. He eventually left and then MSNBC gave him a show where supposedly he has more freedom to express his opinions.

6. She's smart as all gitout. She's not a Wall Street cheerleader. She's looking out for
the interests of the PEOPLE of the United States. She's very likely incorruptible.

There's no way in hell this administration would put her in a position with any real power--like Geithner's. Forget it.

9. Sad truth - IMO what she is trying to do is get people to start questioning....
the big transfers of tax payer dollars, just like Michael Moore, she cannot do it alone. People need to pay more attention instead of spending time on the issues meant to distract.

10. I agree wholeheartedly. But it's hard for us Americans to stay focused on the geeky
stuff like what our gummint's doing with our money. Takes too much brain power and takes away from time watching NCIS and Dancing With the Stars.

14. Dipolomat Speak means
What she is actually saying is the Whitehouse has no fucking clue and we are headed right over the economic cliff. She is just being diplomatic. Every day that goes by, I think the president has less and less of a clue on economics. He is a man without an ideology. A man whose agenda appears to have been accomplished the moment he was sworn in. A mere man who is in way, way, over his head.

16. The question everyone should ask is Why in the HELL didn't Obama hire Warren instead of Geithner?
Edited on Sun Nov-22-09 02:04 AM by earth mom
And Why the HELL does Geithner still have a job?

Seriously, it doesn't get any more corrupt than this folks, you can see it in Elizabeth Warrens face!

Everyone also needs to question what's in it for Obama to keep that asshole Geithner around!!! :wtf:

edited to add that I still can't get the look on Warrens face out of my mind!

She looks totally overwhelmed and maybe scared too. :yoiks:
