Howard Dean is happy he isn't the one who killed the bill.
But he would have if he were a senator. In all good conscience he simply couldn't live with himself if he subjected americans to what he knows is coming.

4. I saw him on msnbc. He said if he was a senator he would not vote for the bill
But he is happy it is passing. I'm reading between the lines that he likes winning the political game but thinks the legislation is inadequate and has little hope of being fixed.

Which hasn't happened yet.

Thought republican behavior was reprehensible.

the Middle Class.

Only the VERY POOR and the VERY WEALTHY will be served by this piece of shit bill. :grr:

8. the middle class appears pinched again, oh, the upper class according to Krugman, sorry.
lol.. he said, 44K for a single, and 88k for a rich man was good.

I want the good things in this reform bill, but I expect a public option at the LEAST in this bill... maybe we'll get it.

17. Look, if Bernie Sanders if your enemy, you might as well just pack it in right now
there is no hope at all ever for anything you support EVER.

so just give it up right now. seriously.

and yes, using terms like "selling out" is basically making someone your enemy, you are placing him in a category of people that it is clear you don't see fit to work with you on anything.

he is our one and only socialist in congress, period.

if he's not good enough, there is no hope for anything you care about and NOT EVEN ONE reliable VOTE in all of congress for things like it.

you've explained what you require and who you approve and disapprove of and whose ethics you can count on.

now you've got almost nobody to work with.

your choice.

15. I call bullshit on Howard
Look who the holdouts were; wasn't the progressives, it was the conservadems. He can say what he wants from his armchair, but he wouldn't have been out there on a limb with Lieberman and Nelson were he in the Senate.

16. Well I think if he were in the senate we would probably have a better bill he could live with.
He would have done everything to not put himself in the position of voting for this inadequacy of a bill

22. Howard Dean is thanking his lucky stars that he's not part of the administration!
while he played good soldier for a long time and probably longer than he would have liked -there comes a time when enough is enough.

Best tohave left the pandering and appeasement to Obama, Rahm and Sebellius.

24. The bait & switch on the public option- and then the medicare buy in must have been galling
seeing as how he was out there arguing cogently for them day after day....

(of course, so were some DUer's, who don't seem the least bit bothered).
