Is Newt Gingrich tied up with Opus Dei?
Yeah, I know I could google it, but if the answer is yes, it deserves a thread here to warn people!

2. I heard it stated on CNN yesterday that he is a member.
I didn't even realize that he is Roman Catholic.

Try to imagine a world with an OD President and four members of the Supreme Court.

3. Yes. He converted, and immediately was asked to join the cult.
If you want to really see who is running the country, you've found them.

The Protestants think they have it all sewn up in this country, but the RCC laughs at them behind closed doors.

6. Does it matter?
OK, it wouldn't surprise me, but Newtie the Cutie is still someone who shouldn't be allowed close enough to the White House to take a guided tour.

8. My point is simply this
We vote against a racist running for public office because he is a racist. It doesn't matter whether or not that he belongs to the Klan or the Citizens' Councils of America.

9. Ah, but Opus Dei is a cult which tries to run governments from
behind the scenes. It had ties to both Franco and Pinochet.

10. Neither Franco nor Pinochet needed to have ties to Opus Dei to be a fascist thug

12. Yes. His third wife introduced him. Which tells you all you need to know about the hypocrisy of
both Newt and Opus.
