I Feel Sorry For Ms. Cain
From every account she is a kind, private woman. I think it was selfish for Herman Cain to run for president with all these skeletons in his closet.

1. I am interested to hear her side of this.
Had she ever heard of any of the payoffs?

I also wonder how many women he succeeded with. After all, wealth and power in a man are powerful inducements to some women. Were there any women who said 'yes' to get their job, or even just because they felt like it?

I doubt these 4 are the only recipients of his interest.

2. I Will Give Her The Benefit Of The Doubt And Believes She Knows Nothing
And the payoffs were from the association so he didn't have to explain where the money went. And anyway, men like him usually have separate bank accounts.

3. Years ago, many women did say yes, just to get the job.
Even if they felt terrible about it later, they did it.

Then, they would be disrespected for sleeping their way to the top. Even if they said no very firmly and fought the guy off, they would be accused of sleeping their way to the top.

The rules have changed. I am glad they have. But I am glad that I am not out there any more, trying to figure out the rules.

4. She should just wait until the profits from his book shake out....
and then divorce his trifling ass.

6. She does have feelings -- I agree with the OP
I would not assume that it is all about the money for any wife going thru this. That article doesn't talk about the wife at all.

Herman Cain barely mentions his wife. I can't begin to imagine what she is going through right now.

8. I don't feel bad for her. She is living a comfortable millionaire life back home. She probably
is happy that he is on the road.

9. She's a willing prop in a public display that among other things
involves shouting about Goddy God and the Sanctity of Marriage and how holy straight people are. She does this by her own choice, no doubt for money, she'd say 'security' but that just means cash. I find such people to be accomplices to great wrongs.

15. Wouldn't the same have to be said about HRC?
I mean people...let's be a bit more humane here. I definitely agree she's aware of what's going on and she decided to "stand by her man." Many women do that...doesn't mean we can't give them a bit of pity too.

17. Yes it does.

Someone that supports a man that assaults other women isn't deserving of pity or compassion. They're an enabler. By now she knows exactly what he is and either doesn't care or sees more benefit in sticking around.

I'll save my pity for actual victims rather than people that support the attacker.

14. The allegations have gone for years...she stood by her husband.
She knew this would happen and is hanging in there just fine. I'm sure she's kind and definitely private...but it's not like she hasn't heard this all before and is aware of what is to come. It's now on a more national basis than before.

18. She must stay home and keep her eyes and ears
closed the past 45 years. I read where she said "that doesn't sound like my husband in the past 45 years".

With the angry way he talks in public, you can just imagine the way he pushes himself around like a control freak in private.

To me the more i hear the more I think he is a major asshole.
