27. The proof is in O's singular legislative successes thus far despite an insanely partisan Congress.
Edited on Mon Oct-17-11 03:50 PM by ClarkUSA
Anyone who says otherwise is making up ridiculously false narratives which the vast majority of the Democratic base clearly ain't buying because they aren't as dumb as President Obama's 24/7 critics think they are.

Enjoy your place in the 19%.

37. that ''insanely partisan congress'' shit might sell in DC, but here please describe it honestly:
it's Republican obstruction and Democrats acquiescence to it that is the problem.

If we had a problem with an excessively partisan Washington, Democrats would have just as effectively blocked most of what Bush wanted to do when he was in office, but when Dems are even one vote in the minority, they act like they are powerless to stop the GOP.

6. A sad day for the " loud crowd" at DU.
Expect major damage control today from the usual suspects. I'm thinking of a couple people that average a new thread every hour. Selective quotes, disinfomrmation, etc.

12. Voters are paying attention to the jobs bill debate. Here's some evidence of this -->
Edited on Mon Oct-17-11 02:17 PM by ClarkUSA
:bluebox: “I believe in the ideas that he has for the country,” said donor Barbara Weeda, a 70-year-old retiree from Joshua Tree, Calif., home to San Bernardino county and its 13 percent jobless rate. “How else is he going to get elected than to just dig in and help as much as you can?” she said, saddened at what she sees as a lack of cooperation in Washington negotiating a jobs bill.

The AP’s analysis found not only a broadening of support for Obama — he received cash for the first time from parts of the Plains, the Rockies and the Midwest

:redbox: To drive this point home, President Obama is attacking Senate GOP for blocking his jobs bill while on his 3-day bus tour:

The MSM is covering it and thus Obama supporters are posting about it.

26. I am. Media coverage of the GOP debates has led to increased coverage of the POTUS as well.
Edited on Mon Oct-17-11 03:15 PM by ClarkUSA
That, in turn, drives up awareness and approval of President Obama among those who are middle-to-low information Democratic voters.

I expect these numbers to keep rising, especially with the good economic news that unemployment has made a sharp drop:

I love the poster who has the tag that Obama has a 80% or so approval rating with liberal Democrats but only 29% or so at DU. That says a lot about the DU community. There are days when I feel the place is infected with paid republican trolls.

President Obama has gained the trust and approval of a vast majority of the Democratic base, especially the liberals, who weren't keen on Bubba's DINO DLC ways back in the day.

Of course, his 24/7 critics on both sides of the aisle and the "Never Good Enough" peanut gallery will be sad at this news.
