Jeb Bush on Education Nation this morning...Hmmmm
Edited on Tue Sep-27-11 12:57 PM by Honeycombe8
So here we are, with Republicans across the country, and media Republicans, and the big brass GOP guys who run the party ALL looking for another candidate. Romney fits the bill for many, but it's feared he can't win the southern states, which some say will never vote for a Mormon. Perry fits the bill for many, but it's feared that he can't win a general election because of his extreme views and statements. And then there's the illegal immigrant school-paying issue that'll create issues with the base. Christie, who has said ad nauseum that he isn't running and isn't ready for that, is being pursued (persecuted?) to run. Christie, a moderate, will presumably be a Romney replacement.

Then there's the recent Florida straw poll. To the Republicans' horror, Herman Cain wins! Romney comes in THIRD! All of this leading to the fears the Republicans already have...that neither Perry nor Romney can beat Obama.

So I'm watching Morning Joe this morning, getting ready for work, and who should appear? Jeb Bush and Laura Bush, to speak on a special "Education Nation" Morning Joe program. Now, isn't that a coincidence, I thought to myself. He hasn't been on national TV except maybe once in the last year, and now, here he is, on Morning Joe, the most watched morning show in America. There he was...a former popular governor of Florida. Someone who would have presumably won that FL straw poll. It had been thought there was no taste for electing another Bush or another Texas governor. But Perry has shown there IS a taste for a Bush-lite Texas governor, so maybe, just maybe, there's a taste for another, more truly conservative Bush? Hmmmmm.

Now, isn't that a coincidence? Or is it more like testing the waters?

3. I follow the advice of Rev. Sharpton "Stay out the Bushes!"
I might be wrong but aren't Niel and Jeb involved in an educational services company? That phrase "cui bono?" comes to mind.

7. Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! And remember Mommy Bush
"donated" thousands of dollars to a relief fund for Katrina victims living in Houston... and earmarked it to be used to purchase software from Neil's education company. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2006-03-24-bush-earmark_x.htm

And the nasty woman didn't even donate enough to cover the whole cost, oh no-- the school district still had to pony up HALF the money.

5. Coincidence that Florida is moving up its primary to January 31?
Florida likely to hold Jan. 31 primary, throwing 2012 calendar in flux

Certainly sounds like that move would benefit Jeb.
