1. He is absolutely right on this.
We need a strong robust debate. Not at all a popular opinion but there it is.

3. Hey, that's what democracy is all about!
I know that some would prefer a fascist dictatorship, but the majority of us disagree with them.

5. and in which country should this robust debate take place?
Edited on Tue Sep-20-11 08:38 PM by Whisp
or are the CNNs and all on board with this?

no, they're not.
They are messaging for the Republicans, they don't want no stinkin' robust debates. They just want to repeat RW talking points to be used against the President.

and the bait is taken by many more than the Pukes.

10. In the USA. How do they do it in Canada? Here
when two people from the same party run, they debate each other. It's called a primary. Any Democrat who debates Obama is not going to use RW talking points.

16. I'm confused. who is running against Obama?
and I don't know about what you said here:

''Any Democrat who debates Obama is not going to use RW talking points.''

o yes they will, Hillary did and that was a billion light years away and things have degraded far more since at taking unfair rightwinglike potshots at the President.

18. These people aren't Clinton ...
Did you read the letter?

It's a slate of progressive representatives of various fields who wish to bring their specific issues into the public discussion.

This is not a threat to Obama's presidency. It's a call to actually discuss progressive causes and see where Obama really stands.

4. How are
two non-Democrats going to lead the charge to primary the Democratic President?

Carville on Possible Primary Challenge: Nader Has Done Enough Damage

I'll even agree with a Democrat like Carville over those two clowns.

14. On this
"I'm very much behind this action. I hope that this will send a signal to Obama that we on the Left are not going to be ignored. We mean business. Listen to us President Obama, we will get behind you if you enact progressive policies, in fact, the majority of Americans will be behind you. Quit trying to appease the reactionaries and get on with the business of governing!"

...point, most people who pay attention recognize that Nader is an asshole. Criticizing him is no different from criticizing the numerous asshole ankle biters!

To actually believe this is a threat that can effect progressive policies is laughable.

How is that a threat?

So Nader and West are not running themselves, they're trying to recruit people.

Yeah... right... good luck with that one.
