The GOP has the ability to sell shit to a sewer worker.

Each of these idiots can be packaged up and sold to the GOP base and as many "independent" voters as needs be.

No matter what extremist nonsense they come out with to win the Primaries, Faux News will make sure it is all expunged. Fake websites and "movements" will be set up. In 2008 it was Democrats for Mccain and the so called "PUMA movement" who consisted of nothing more than fraudsters and tricksters. (Rethugs). In 2012 it will be the same. "Democrats for Perry". As if Democratic supporters would ever support an idiot like Perry.

Citizens United, Super PACs and just downright law breaking from Rethugs are to be expected.

I can see the scary prospect that they may just get away with it.

1. With ALL of the Media Behind Them, and BILLIONS in Corporate Cash, It Could Happen
If it does we are totally, irreparably, and permanently screwed.

8. most of the republicans don't care one whit about the candidates; they vote the brand.
they understand that when they vote for a republican, they get the whole deal.
not just a particular individual who happens to be running on their party ticket, but:

- republicans in the cabinet
- republicans on the supreme court
- republican agenda in congress
- republican themes in the media, presented as "america's official" themes instead of the grumbling opposition.

THAT's what they're voting for.

so, yes, most of them will vote for ANYONE who winds up with the republican nomination.
for the most part, it makes sense. after all, they know the idiot frontman is just that, a frontman.
it's not like the president REALLY calls the shots, particularly in the case of republicans. they are far too beholden to their true masters.
