Going to be the president we elected instead of a Republican after all (I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but his speech was a start, and a real one)
I have criticized when I couldn't take it anymore, and so I will sing the praises now...THAT was how a damn DEMOCRAT talks. !!! THAT was the real mother fuckin' deal. !!!

1. Not my boyfriend.
We broke up a while ago. Threw his shit on the lawn when he extended the Bush tax cuts. Got a restraining order after the debt deal. But we may be on speaking terms. Sweet talk is nice but it takes a lot to regain trust. I won't slam the door in his face, and I won't be mean, and I am not dating anybody else. But I have a 'wait & see' attitude. I am not that easy.

8. he extended theose tax cuts as trade to extending unemployment benefits.
did you forget about the minor little detail?

what would you rather him do?

and I think he's happy with Michelle, I can't see why he'd leave her and hang with someone that has little respect for him and is so demanding and unreasonable.

and can't read.

4. The bigger problem right now - the money for anything he proposes is already gone.
He was apparently looking the other way when all his friends on Wall Street were being offered up trillions of dollars via the Paulson/Bernanke/Geithner -- Federal Reserve-Treasury loopholes.

The audit fo the Federal Reserve that has only a little peek into goings on at the Fed showed some Nine Trillion going out the door.

And other reports talk about Fourteen Trillions.

But hey - it's only money! It's not like they would cut back MediCare or fiddle around with the Social Security fund to make up any differences!

7. The "action" that you are waiting for is supposed to be coming from you....
Or at least, that's my understanding.

It will take active support to get anything even close to through....
and that was supposed to be our job, when Obama said..."It cannot happen without you"...
back on Election night.

Just sayin'...

13. Well, personally, I'm gonna rely on myself,
since it is MY future and that of MY children,
as well as those that I say I care about in MY country....
and fortunately, I'm one of those types that has never
relied upon any ONE person for anything that is dire beyond myself.....

But of course, you should do as you choose....

15. "It needs to come from HIM standing his ground?"
OK, and how do you suppose you help HIM stand his ground? He has 60 balls-to-the-walls nutcase members of the Tea Party Caucus that are going to say No to whatever he proposes, and a good number of Republican and Blue-Dog Democrats in the Senate that will do the same.

He's using the bully pulpit. The same bully pulpit so many accused him of not using and he is STANDING UP, RIGHT NOW.

22. By doing what he did yesterday, and more often. Oh, and he **FINALLY** USED THE BULLY PULPIT
let's not pretend that his utter lack of participation in the Health Care debacle was "using the bully pulpit". Let's not pretend that the bullshit with "putting our sacred cows" on the table was using the bully pulpit.

We elevated him to where he is. Now *HE* has to walk that walk. no excuse for back pedaling.

23. wrong.
The only action *I* need to be taking right now is to keep the pressure on my president, who WORKS FOR ME, not the other way around, to keep acting like a Democrat and STOP acting like a Republican, which our President *clearly* was doing.
