The Mass Democratic party has some serious corruption problems. Everything from bribery to embezzlement to a former state house speaker hiding Whitey Bulger (who was his brother) from the FBI. And he's not as corrupt as the guy who just got run out of town on a rail. Mass will vote D for President for the foreseeable future, but Warren's run is by no means a shoe-in, and frankly I'm worried about her prospects.

Secondly, Elizabeth Warren seems to me like a woman who wants to get things done. She'd have more success and really take the battle to Republican ideals not as a President---but as a Senator. This is one of the reasons why I think Sanders is so functional as a Senator.

Martha ran a bad campaign. That's how Scottie got in. Plus, he had all the radio jocks on his side. Listening to some of the shows was like listening to a looping campaign promo for Brown.

Another candidate of interest is Setti Warren (no relation to Elizabeth). He's the young African-American mayor of Newton, MA. I live one town over but go to church in Newton.

Not sure if Mike Capuano will be running, but I think he would be a formidable challenger as well. Bottom line is that Scottie must go.
