to go home and do some fishing or hunting since his TV show is preempted most weekends for the prison shows. It's summer, give him a break! Mike P is good sub!

4. I've noticed that ALL the MSNBC shows...the hosts have gotten to be "stars" and are...
and they are taking more and more time off.

I watch Hardball. I saw Chris on it...well, it's been some time ago. Guess he's on vacation in Europe.

Morning Joe...Joe now appears on the show only several times a week, and some of those times are taped. Mikia has been gone on vacation, as has Joe (BOTH of the hosts) for the last 2 weeks.

Larry O'Donnell...he's off on vacation, too.

These shows are no longer news shows. They're political entertainment, and the "hosts" are stars. Mika is known more for her appearance and clothes than her opinions. She wears spiked "F___ Me" heels, for gosh sakes. Hardly a serious news woman. And Joe...facts don't matter much. He has a show to put on, and his objective is bashing Democrats.

Not sure about Faux News, since I watch it only occasionally, mainly to see what they are (or are not) covering. For instance, I noticed that while all other stations were running stories on Libya, Faux News was running stories on Obama's being on vacation in Martha's Vineyard & how scummy and irresponsible of him to do that while the country is in trouble!

5. Lawrence O
his mother passed away, thus his time off.

With congress on vacation, it makes sense to take time off now. Also, August is a non-ratings period.

8. Oh, that's right. My bad. So THAT'S why everyone took off at the same time.
Still....shows they aren't very concerned about the audience. It's the stars that count.

I mean...I don't ever recall the news journalists (Brokaw, Rather, etc.) taking a full two weeks off in a row. Maybe they did. But I don't recall that.

But now we have stars, who don't even show up on their shows...they tape partial segments on other days, in other states, and pipe it in. We wouldn't want to inconvenience a star, would we?

6. Our local station just switched to Stephanie Miller. Ed seems to be out.
Unfortunately, I think Stephanie Miller is just plain goofy and I can't listen to her.

7. I'm not a big fan of Ed's.
I just don't like his hosting style, I guess. I agree with 98% of what he stands for, but I'm not a fan of his show, either on TV or on the radio.
