Basic Civics question--when did Obama's first budget start?
Edited on Wed Aug-24-11 01:49 PM by mistertrickster
and when did Bush's end?

Obama signed the Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2009 (H.R. 1105, Pub.L. 111-8), signed into law on March 11, 2009.

But FY (Fiscal year) 2009 starts in Oct 2008 doesn't end until Sept 2009, so that would be Bush's budget, right?

What was Obama signing in March 2009?

1. That bill was for funds for FY 2009.
That was the last fiscal year of Bush. It did not get signed by Bush because Congress has been negligent about producing an on-time budget for many years now and operates off of continuing resolutions.
