Who Will Be The Republicant Nominee For President In 2012?
I was going to make it into a poll but it's more fun to put names to predictions.

I will go with The Flip Flopper.

7. Maybe Romney
but I don't see him picking Bachmann as VP since having a lunatic as the VP candidate didn't work out so well the last time for the GOP.

I could be wrong but I still think Bachmann is a flash in the pan. Look at some of the loons who've won the IA straw poll in the past.

6. I said it before. It will be down to Bachmann, Paul.
Since I made this prediction before the Iowa stupidity and before Perry got in, maybe Perry, too. Any of them with any common sense, rationality, or half a brain will be out by December. It will come down to the craziest of the crazies. Tea Party doubling down.

Michele Bachmann to be Republican Presidential Nominee in 2012 - 6.5%

Jon Huntsman to be Republican Presidential Nominee in 2012 - 7%

Ron Paul to be Republican Presidential Nominee in 2012 - 4.6%

10. That Seems About Right Exept For The Order Of Romney And Perry
Intrade is often right but not always right. I am surprised gamblers are going with Governor Good Hair over The Flip Flopper. Last I checked states like CA, MI, NY, OH, and IL have primaries too. They might be overestimating Perry's national appeal.

He reminds me of the guy who sold you your first car.

Can't stand any of them. Worst - Bachman & Perry, seriously dread their "holier-than-thou" attitudes

13. Paul has no chance at all...
Absolutely none. If he ever becomes regarded as a serious candidate, his more insane, conspiratorial ideas would come to the forefront and he'd be destroyed by even the right wing media.

We are down to Romney, Bachmann or Perry. I am betting Perry.

15. It is looking more and more like Perry
I think the repugs will break the tradition this time and not go
with the person whose "turn" it is (Romney).

However if Bachmann is able to stay in the race, it benefits Romney
cuz she will take away more primary votes from Perry.

So, we won't know until Iowa & NH & SC primaries are out of the way.

17. Perry
More than anything, republicans want a return to their "normalcy," and that means a white "Christian." Bachmann appeals to them, but being a woman will have its disadvantages (although, if the GOP dealmakers were smart, they would push for her to win just so republicans could crow, "See? We care about women! We had the first woman president!"). Romney still has a good chance, but GOP voters are going to vote for him while holding their noses, and unless he really energizes them and breaks through decades of conditioning where conservative voters have been told over and over again that Mormonism = cult (which, hey, I'll agree with :) ), I think a lot of GOP voters would stay home election day if he were the nominee.

I'm thinking it's going to be Perry/Bachmann.

23. Romney/Teabbager will be the ticket.
Unless Huntsman upsets him, in which case it will be Huntsman/Teabagger. The old club republicans don't like the monster they have created with the teabaggers and won't let them take the top of the ticket. But, they are also scared that if the teabaggers don't get a veep slot, they will run third party and make it a walk for Obama.

It's Romney's turn, he is slimy and slippery enough to be many things to many idiot republican voters.
