Pawlenty drops out of presidential race
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty abandoned his bid for the GOP presidential nomination on Sunday after a disappointing finish in the Ames Straw Poll in Iowa.
"We needed a boost from Ames that didn't happen," Pawlenty told staff on a conference call Sunday morning, CNN learned.

7. That makes absolutely no sense.
Didn't he predict that he would come in third? If he had been really smart he would had said 4th and then looked better by coming in 3rd.

There were many others that had disappointing finishes in the Ames poll and they still managed to get the nomination. It must be more than that for him to decide to quit.

11. He was probably waiting until the poll was over, planned beforehand to drop out. He polled
better than anyone thought he would, actually. Which says how poorly he's been doing since he got into the race.

Too bad. I was hoping he'd be the nominee. Easy to beat him.

12. WHO?
I guess he is just not crazy enough for the corporate media to follow or cover.

But Rick Perry jumping in the race has been a top story on the 'news' for days now.

C'est la vie. So next up, let's take a real close look at how the Perry-God team has interceded in Texas!

15. What a wimp. The Iowa straw poll had what, 10,000 people participating?
And candidates can truck in people from all over, including from other states. It is a bogus poll.
