How many JOBS and how much INCOME would a new SHUTTLE program generate?
Just wondering...

It's be great for the local economies of Washington and SoCal among other areas...

Because the simple fact that the US now relies on the Russians for space travel is PATHETIC

4. Excellent video.
Explains the whole situation very well, and makes NASA's future, as well as commercial space travel, as clear as it can be.

2. We don't need people in space.
We really don't. How about jobs for 52 space probes/robots a year? Be even more jobs!

3. Not much since the jobs are so specialized. Also...
There was an interview with some people who were planning on going into the privatization of space---and they plan on all of those people (and some newbies) from NASA. We do need jobs in bio-fuels and renewable energy because that would cause high level of employment for long term and wouldn't need to be as specialized as something NASA related.

to renewables is even on the same plane with respect to funding levels as launching a half dozen rockets.
Implying that we have to choose air conditioning or the cosmos.
Implying implications.
