Biden had a good day...
I imagine he had some fun being in his old stomping grounds.

Biden spent day in Senate to discuss healthcare
By J. Taylor Rushing - 11/18/09 03:30 PM ET

Vice President Joe Biden spent five hours in the Senate on Wednesday before leaving shortly after 3 p.m.

Biden started his appointments with a 10 a.m. meeting with Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) about healthcare reform. Reid is struggling to hold Democrats together for the first procedural votes, which could come at the end of the week.

Biden also strolled through the Senate floor but avoided making any public statements.

The vice president served in the Senate from 1973 to this past January.

3. I've always envisioned (fantasized, maybe) Biden stomping down to the
Senate floor and giving his cronies a dose of LBJ. He's got the relationships to be able to get away with it.

And I agree, babylonsister -- I bet he enjoyed himself. :hi:

4. Rec'd to unrec the unrec...
...when you said his old stomping grounds, I thought you meant his OLD stomping grounds - SU.;):hi:

Speaking about Biden and SU, I wonder if the Ben Shahn mural had an effect on him during his politically formative years? I've been reading about Sacco & Vanzetti lately (nothing in particular although I'm open to suggestions on the best book about the case) and the Shahn mural @ SU depicting Sacco & Vanzetti is just so moving!

7. Even if I didn't know a thing about the case...
...the imaging of Sacco and Vanzetti's grey, lifeless faces in their coffins is so chilling!

14. I don't even know what you're talking about. He went to the Senate
today, and did his thing. Seems it was successful.
