Impact of released messages: Palin runs?
The batch of emails long sought-after seem to have painted her in a positive light. It may even propel her into a candidacy:

<snip>

"The messages underscore Palin’s role as a sincere budget-cutter and an opponent of pork-barrel spending, an issue with particular resonance nationally. She appears eager to do battle with her political opponents, while remaining fiercely protective of those loyal to her. She was also willing to take actions, such as the creamery bailout, that may have made sense for Alaska but might raise hackles among fellow conservatives across the country."

1. I have always assumed she will run. And the posturing of late -
the whole "renegade outsider getting back to the founding principles" - is the tone I expect the campaign to take.

3. Her luck is unreal though
because the free publicity just keeps pouring in. Pawlenty would love to have just a crumb of hers :)

10. Re:
Her luck IS unreal, but she's a celebrity. I don't think as many people actually support her and would vote for her as Chris Matthews would have us believe. We keep fanning her artificial flame.

2. Positive light? Hardly.
The e-mails (and I have been reading them) paint her as a petty, vindictive, paranoid idiot who was way over her head.

After 2 years and months, these are the BEST of the emails - THE story is how many were redacted (by HER former employees who are still in State govt.) - redacted for no other reason than they were "personal."

6. Although I tend to agree with you...
The press is painting her in a VERY POSITIVE LIGHT! They want her to run, I guess? Palin would not be who she is today without the media making her into what she is today. It disgust me!

I fear the media would be very easy on her if she does run...We will see.

I still think she is not going to run because she fears the media despite how nice they are to her.

8. The MSM does want her to run
They had a heck of a time with her in 2008, and they want to do so again. They're quite aware that if Mitt Romney coasts to the nomination, the 2012 race will be a snoozefest.

11. Perhaps that explains the positive spin on the released messages.
Their collective way of saying, "Run Sarah, Run"?

9. If they had found anything deragatory in the email msgs
they would have tried to crush her.

5. Not really..but the media would have you believe that..Was she responsible for this?

Sarah Palin ignored Jeremy Morlock's plea to be brought home from overseas under a "compassionate reassignment."
