So does the Palin Bus Tour thingy not post an itinerary to avoid protestors?
In other words, more concerned about getting booed and heckled than letting her supporters know where to go?

They ain't in Philly and New England and D.C., that's for sure.

1. The bus tour is a Palin family vacation courtesy of her
Sarah Pac, imo.

2. There was some GOP fat cat in Philly, sports team (?Flyers) owner if I recall.
I'm going to guess that's one big reason for that stop, to score some cash there.

10. Yep,
That's pretty much it, plus hitting people up for donations that she can stuff in her "pac" until she can find ways to get it out and into her, or her families personnel accounts! After all she just bought a house for a million plus, have to get some more cash in the old piggy "pac"!

3. Is she actually going to ride on the bus
or will she do like she did on her book signing tour? She flew on a small jet from place to place and pretended that she rode the bus at each stop.

4. I'm going to guess private Gulfstream, another reason not to publicize itinerary.
If she just kind of "shows up" it'll be less obvious maybe that she didn't ride the bus at all.

6. Sarah doesn't want people to actually show up.
She just wants them to send her money.

7. "I've heard her next stop is..."
It would be funny if there were rumors that left people chasing their tales.

I saw there was already one ding dong Freeper who already drove to Gettysburg hoping to see Palin.

Just got back.

Aside from the usual tourists, it was pretty quiet on the battlefield and in town. I drove by the all the "hot spots" (Little Round Top, Confederate Highwater Mark, Eternal Flame, and the National Cemetery) but the Palins were not there (yet).

No sign of the MSM either.

However, word has spread among the locals and I saw signs out in front of several businesses welcoming Sarah and advertising her book.

My guess is that the "One Nation" Express will arrive sometime in the morning, and so I'll try to stake out the High Water Mark and the National Cemetery to see if I can finally meet her and Todd.

Just got back---no luck!
Either they're still on the road or have pulled in somewhere for the night. I drove out on Routes 15, 97, and 30 for a ways and then staked out Cemetery Hill where Lincoln gave his Address before heading on over to Cemetery Ridge.

The CNN Express and local media had laid claim to the Pennsylvania monument at the southern end of Cemetery Ridge for some reason, drawing a fairly large crowd of tourists. Unfortunately for them, it is probably the most exposed part of the battlefield in terms of sunshine, and the reporters were all standing around sweltering. Some had tent flies set up and their big cameras out, but they were mostly standing around chatting or talking on the cell phones. I saw a couple of computers set up under the flies, so they were monitoring the web to try and track the Palins' movements.

Anyway, the sun is going down and the park will be closing soon. My guess is that the Palins' will hide the bus somewhere and call it a day, and then tour the battlefield fresh tomorrow morning. Wouldn't surpirse me a bit if they had an advance scout making arrangements ahead of them. Heck, if they wanted to they could pull into my back yard, camp safely, and know that I would keep the MSM at bay with my 1940 Remington Model 11 semi-auto shotgun. :

9. I think they are trying to avoid their SUPPORTERS
To make the kind of appeals the Palin's make requires abject contempt for the people who's support they seek...

Rolling Thunder? Can't you just imagine the meeting "Yeah...they'll eat this up..."

11. It's possible they don't know where they're going...
Makes it easier if you're just making it up as you're going along.

The bus tour, I mean.

Sounds like the Palin Express:

"We're on the road to nowhere..."

(apologies to the Heads)
