The Biggest Difference Between The Republicans And The Democrats
When in the majority, the Republicans fight tooth and nail, bullying and bloviating their way to getting what they want.

Democrats just roll over and play dead no matter what.

2. What's funny is that Repub leadership actually convinces its flock
that Obama and the Dem Congress are just running roughshod over them and cramming their agenda down their throats. I'd love for that to happen, but nothing could be further from the truth--Dems are asking PERMISSION, as always.

They lose an election big time, and they still manage to hijack the agenda.

4. The Democrats just spent the last 6 years of Clinton's 2 terms

6. I think the biggest difference is party unity
Republicans always seem to be united and on message in Congress, besides 1 or 2 strays. That could be the result of The Democrats bigger tent though that has swallowed up seats that used to be held by moderate Repukes and is now held by conservadems.

8. True. There's not much else to add.
Republicans are pit bulls, Democrats are poodles, and Wall Street holds their leashes.

9. Put it this way--if the Washington Generals got to play 6 on 4 against the Globetrotters
the Globetrotters would still win, b/c that's what the game is set up for.

10. A cynical Republican friend told me that politicians in
both parties are corrupt, but Democrats sell-out for a lower price.

11. There is not much difference
The whole thing is just theater. The democrats are allowed to sound progressive for the voters when they don't have the votes to do anything while working for the corporatists. The Republicans are just more straightforward in the approach-knowing that the average voter is an uninformed dolt and that if you market horse shit right you can sell it.(see McDonald's) Look at medicare part B-one of the biggest rip-offs in history. With a democratic majority the true nature of our government just becomes more apparent. Or does anyone believe that Ben Nelson gives a shit about abortion? but it does give him cover as an insurance industry shill. So now he can hide behind religion which like patriotism is the refuge of the scoundrel. Same for Holy Joe making a big deal about going to the temple and walking back to increase his visibility as a "faith based guy". I am sure the private Dicks from the Corporatocracy have all these pieces of shit blackmailed and I would not be surprised to find that the CIA cooperates in this. This country was the victim of a MIC coup in 1980 and power will never come back to the people via the ballot. Yes, I actively campaign and work for progressive candidates because
I believe they keep the level of pain down a little, but I'm a realist and know that were fighting a generational struggle and that its going to go on for a long time.
Putting a D behind your name in Congress is not change. And I really don't understand the criticism of Obama. He ran as a Corporate capitalist-just a smarter better manager for a system of exploitation.
At least he can speak English. If you want a socialist you have to elect one. Oh, I forgot liberalism
is the faith that Capitalism can be "reformed".

13. I've said it before: the GOP embraces its insane base, the Dems shit on theirs.
Then the Dem leaders wonder what went wrong.

15. When the GOP was in power, Democrats in congress went out of their way
to "find common ground", and became me too party. They were trying to become little republicans.

Now they are so addicted to the money they feel they have no responsibility at all to those who elected them.

Republicans are also honest about being bullshit artists, Democrats pretend thay are better, but obviously they are not.
