Palin uses "Presidental" language to describe the economy
Edited on Wed Nov-18-09 10:50 AM by spiritual_gunfighter
""I would start cutting taxes and allowing our small businesses to keep more of what they are earning, more of what they are producing, more of what they own and earn so that they could start reinvesting in their businesses and expand and hire more people," Palin told Walters. "Not punishing them by forcing health care reform down their throats; by forcing an energy policy down their throats that ultimately will tax them more and cost them more to stay in business. Those are backassward ways of trying to fix the economy."

1. Did she really say "backassward" instead of bass-akward?

7. The woman has no filter......
.... add this to her calling her grandson's father "Ricky Hollywood" on Oprah the other day. *I* dont think Biden is gaffe prone, but she has the potential to make him earn the reputation for being the most disciplined public figure in the land.

IF you are planning on leading a public life, you have to control the message and be EXTREMELY careful of what you say.

4. She said this in her 'interview' with Babarba Walters. I was screaming at the TV last night when
ABC donated 3 minutes of the evening news to this.

I wanted Barbara to ask her why a small business would be expanding if there's no one to buy the product.

5. I'm wondering why any business would want to "keep more of what it's producing".
Is the government seizing manufactured goods, that I'm not aware of?

10. Yes, it's the Democrats.
Democrats sneak in and seize manufactured goods from small businesses every dang chance they get, interfering with the stockpiling of goods in vast storerooms owned by the manufacturer.

I remember this being in the Democrats' manifesto . . er platform.

GOPers always talk about supporting small businesses, but their business is Big Business. Our little rogue is in lockstep.

Economy in the dumps? TAX CUTS!

People out of work? TAX CUTS!

Can't find your keys and you're late for work? TAX CUTS!

17. Whats funnier is she is advocating Bush's policies over the last eight yrs
to try and bash Obama. I'm sure the person interviewing her didn't come back with that.

18. "The Odd Lies of sarah palin" by Andrew Sullivan
Edited on Wed Nov-18-09 02:10 PM by Cha
<snip>

"After you have read these, ask yourself: what wouldn't Sarah Palin lie about if she felt she had to?

Palin lied when she said the dismissal of her public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, had nothing to do with his refusal to fire state trooper Mike Wooten; in fact, the Branchflower Report concluded that she repeatedly abused her power when dealing with both men.

Palin lied when she repeatedly claimed to have said, "Thanks, but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere; in fact, she openly campaigned for the federal project when running for governor.

Palin lied when she denied that Wasilla's police chief and librarian had been fired; in fact, both were given letters of termination the previous day.

Palin lied when she wrote in the NYT that a comprehensive review by Alaska wildlife officials showed that polar bears were not endangered; in fact, email correspondence between those scientists showed the opposite.

Palin lied when she claimed in her convention speech that an oil gas pipeline "began" under her guidance; in fact, the pipeline was years from breaking ground, if at all.

Palin lied when she told Charlie Gibson that she does not pass judgment on gay people; in fact, she opposes all rights between gay spouses and belongs to a church that promotes conversion therapy.

Palin lied when she denied having said that humans do not contribute to climate change; in fact, she had previously proclaimed that human activity was not to blame.

Palin lied when she claimed that Alaska produces 20 percent of the country's domestic energy supply; in fact, the actual figures, based on any interpretation of her words, are much, much lower.

Palin lied when she told voters she improvised her convention speech when her teleprompter stopped working properly; in fact, all reports showed that the machine had functioned perfectly and that her speech had closely followed the script.

Palin lied when she recalled asking her daughters to vote on whether she should accept the VP offer; in fact, her story contradicts details given by her husband, the McCain campaign, and even Palin herself. (She later added another version."

22. I LOVE her because she's just like me! SHE'S descriminated against and treated unfairly
Edited on Wed Nov-18-09 02:58 PM by jenmito
just like I am! That's why I hope she runs for president in '12-so we can have someone who's REAL! :sarcasm:

Have you seen the crowds waiting for Palin's book? They look and sound just like the teabaggers-which I'm sure they ARE. I could swear I saw the same lady who cried during a townhall meeting while saying into the mic, "I'm SCARED! I want my country back" interviewed today while on line waiting to buy the book. She said she loves Palin because she's so REAL-the media has no problem discriminating against her-but if you dare say something negative about Obama, you're prejudiced.

The media is pimping Palin and this "book tour" like she's running for president.

Edited on Wed Nov-18-09 03:03 PM by jenmito
And the media is covering her non-stop!

Did you see what Palin's pimp John Ziegler said about her book? "By far the best book and greatest literary achievement by a political figure in my lifetime."
