Haley Barbour Pledges to veto Mississippi License plate honoring the KKK
Edited on Tue Feb-22-11 06:29 PM by aaaaaa5a
There has been a movement in Mississippi to honor Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest with a license plate. Forrest is not only a Confederate General who betrayed his country and waged war against the United States of America, he also helped form the most violent terrorist group in American history…the Ku Klux Klan, at the conclusion of the Civil War.

Today, after being pressured for weeks by the NAACP (among others), potential GOP Presidential candidate and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour said he would veto the license plate legislation, if it passes the State House.

That says a lot about the Governor, and quite frankly… Mississippi.

4. Some times someone who might test the presidential waters must follow reason rather than the
heart. :patriot:

5. Notice that people who advocate for the confederate flag....
...say the civil war was about states rights and not race? The thing is, one of their heros and leaders of the confederacy formed the KKK as soon as the civil war ended.

These people are full of shit.

7. It must be hard for him since he loves the White Citizens Council.
He believes they were great for Mississippi.
