"CNN sure does hire a lot of conservatives."
Steve Benen

* CNN sure does hire a lot of conservatives. Its latest move includes hiring local Tea Party leader and radio talk show host Dana Loesch to appear as an on-air political analyst. (We already have a Fox News; we don't need another.)

CNN:

CNN is gearing up for the election season with the addition of political contributors from across the ideological spectrum. Democratic strategist Cornell Belcher, conservative commentator Will Cain, and local Tea Party leader and radio talk show host Dana Loesch will appear across the network’s prime time programs, as well as other dayparts and platforms.

<...>

Is CNN trying to claim that there is a difference between Cain and Loesch:

Loesch hosts a talk radio show called The Dana Show: The Conservative Alternative, which broadcasts on KFTK FM NewsTalk 97.1 to the Greater St. Louis area.<5> She is a member national leadership team of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition and often speaks out on national issues involving the Tea Party movement.<6> She has been characterized by Playboy as "the sweet Midwestern goth version of Laura Ingraham".<7>

<...>

Loesch succeeded Michael Walsh as editor-in-chief of Big Journalism, a conservative blog and part of Andrew Breitbart's online media empire, on October 11, 2010.<8> Prior to taking over as editor-in-chief, she had already been contributing to both Big Journalism and Big Government.

5. The d-bag that hired Glenn Bleck initially at HLN a while is now CNN president
So there you go...

Doesn't take a nuclear scientist to figure out what's going on at CNN now.

2. CNN is trying to emulate Faux because Faux has high ratings.
But they don't get it.

Beck got shit ratings at CNN even though he had the same shtick.

Only when he moved to Faux did he get high ratings. That tells me that Faux has the same loyal group of zombies that will watch anything on Faux regardless.

If CNN thinks they can somehow take some of these zombies from Faux, they're even dumber than I thought.

4. CNN drew the wrong conclusion from watching fox
Which was you can spout right wing crap and stupid people will flock to your station. What they fail to learn was that you need to have people with some charisma, or personality, spouting the right wing crap because you are appealing to dumb people. They aren't going to pay any attention to boring bland funny looking people like wolf blitzer and candy crowley spouting right wing crap when they can hear it from the likes of screamers like o'reilly and glen beck. In fact almost everybody on fox except hannity has more personality than almost anybody on CNN.

7. Sad. And scary. I fear the Tea Partiers. But if you look at it a certain way...
this does help foster disagreement within the Republican Party.

9. CNN does the training for FOX, ...
Let's see, Glen Beck came of age, smelled sufficiently, then joined fox.

John Roberts loses out in the prime time competition, then joins fox.

Rick Sanchez disses Jews, gets in line and should be next.

If only they would put Candy baby in between Fox's blonde mannequins, I'd so love to watch a group pearl clutch.

All thoroughly trained and with small tweaks, perfect for spewing Fox propaganda with a straight face.

The differences between CNN and FOX seem very small when a general election is near, they both slant republican.

10. CNN doesn't know what it wants to be. They used to bend over backwards to seem moderate
Edited on Fri Feb-11-11 03:11 PM by craigmatic
then they hired glen beck, nancy grace and lou dobbs to scare the hell out of everybody about whatever bullshit was fashonable at the time. Now they're just hiring a bunch more loud mouth assholes to waste time bullshitting. They started going down hill when they canceled crossfire and Judy Woodriff left and the trend continues since Larry King left.
