Zogby's anti-Obama polling tactics exposed by Media Matters
Edited on Wed Nov-18-09 12:13 AM by mcablue
Pollster John Zogby has engaged in dubious practices this year that have prompted the progressive website mediamatters.org to issue a warning today regarding his anti-Obama (sometimes even racist) tactics. Here it is:

The conservative Examiner newspaper is hyping a new poll from pollster John Zogby that purportedly shows that 43% of respondents would support the re-election of President Obama. The poll was commissioned by Brad O'Leary (author of an anti-Obama book called "The Audacity of Deceit"), who has previously comissioned misleading polls to push an anti-Obama agenda.

Zogby was recently caught pushing a racially charged poll question asking if the FCC should ask "good white people" to step aside for African-Americans and gays.

In February, Zogby pushed out an anti-stimulus poll with some extremely loaded language.

With that kind of track record and pedigree, Zogby's work should probably be treated with healthy skepticism.

1. WTF is zogby's problem?
He should be fooking glad Obama is president unless he's just such a greedy corporate whore that his people mean nothing to him.

2. Same one a LOT of American pollsters have
They're in the business of getting clients what they want to hear- which in turn is used by the client to influence public opinion.

One more element in the culture of lies that permeates the United States.

5. I've seen the wing nuts using the 43% as a sure sign that they will get the
White house back in 2012, though when pushed as to where they got the numbers from, they always say I saw it somewhere on the internet.

8. If you check you will see
that they are owned by a republican corporation. So what do you think they would post that the poll numbers are.

16. I've taken the Zogby on-line polls.
Some of the questions are unbelievable! What a tool! Whenever the results of a poll are quoted it should be required that the exact question asked should be presented as well.
