Obama’s wet kiss to Citigroup will net Citi billions.

Today's breaking story:

And you wonder why people are disillusioned with Obama and his administration.

Now seriously, the new member posted something positive.

Stand back and look at this thread.

In your heart of hearts, wasn't this just a rude disruption?

Really unnecessary, isn't it?

Is it helpful, or is it just bullying?

Shame on you, you and the rest.

102. You should read posts before responding to them.

The poster wrote: "Did Obama not give Wells Fargo what the Republicans would have given them?"

I expressed my agreement with his comments!

And you called that "bullying"!?!?

Call that "bullying" the poster if you like .... perhaps you don't know the meaning of the word bullying.

105. It's a positive thread that specifically asks supporters to check in.
You and others came to this thread to have an exchange about how awful the president is.

I find this disrespectful, not just you, all of the "Big Banker checking in" type replies.

I believe yours was "Pfizer checking in", so maybe I should have expressed my disappointment as a reply to that reply.

That is what I meant by bullying, belittling, disrupting what was an innocent thread.

The point is that it seems bad form, I expect it from many but didn't expect it from you.

38. PhRMA checking in
and thank you for opposing the importation of cheaper drugs from Canada!

:patriot:

On the campaign trail, Barack Obama vowed to take on the drug industry by allowing Americans to import cheaper prescription medicine. "We'll tell the pharmaceutical companies 'thanks, but no, thanks' for the overpriced drugs -- drugs that cost twice as much here as they do in Europe and Canada," he said back then.

On Tuesday, the matter came to the Senate floor -- and President Obama forgot the "no, thanks" part. Siding with the pharmaceutical lobby, the administration successfully fought against the very idea Obama had championed.

"It's got to be a little awkward," said Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.).

It's even more awkward for millions of Americans who are forced to pay up to 10 times the prices Canadians and Europeans pay for identical medication, often produced in the same facilities by the same manufacturers, simply because the U.S. government refuses to rein in drug prices.

100. He says in this thread "we should all stand by our commander-in-chief."
"I salute the President. Through the thick and thin, we're in this together."

That is a pretty militaristic characterization.

The pres is commander in chief of the military, but NOT of civilians.

That is why we get to vote for the office and stuff.

The tone of the OPer is remarkably authoritarian.

61. No, he Certainly Did Not. He did not use the word, "OBEY"...
Nice try, maybe you misread or read that word into it.

He said, "Amen. We have a civic duty to our commander-in-chief"

That's pretty non-specific, but he might mean to give him the benefit of the doubt or to understand his limitations.

In the context of the main thread, a Civics Lesson, I take it to mean understand his role in the legislative process.

107. Hey, P.F.:
What do you make of this thread?

I just want to say, in case you aren't already aware, that a select few members are being allowed to disrupt, gang up really, and be bullies.

Hope you don't let it get you down!

86. Interesting presumption
All large companies are presumed to be not just businesses, but crooks trying to screw the people over.

They are treated almost as the right treats Muslims.

Yet it would be as if a lot of the population were giving aid to terrorist organizations by patronizing or working for these companies.

How large does a company have to be before it falls into this category? I once worked for a "corporation" that had 10 employees. is that small enough so that I or the owners weren't evil?

I once worked for an insurance company, actually trying not to pay out certain types of claims (not all tort plaintiffs were thought to have a slam dunk case or to be just paid what they demanded, in case liability for the accident might not be the fault of the insured, or the claimed injuries were not due to the accident or not as bad as claimed). So am I evil?

88. He needs it..lots of shit flying around today.
The haters are coming out of the woodwork en masse..they definetly think they smell Obama's blood in the water now. Poor little things..they got nothin'.

Greenwald is up to his usual demagoguery and it's "reported that the White House is furious at Dean"..who needs reality when we got morning joe?

Yeah, lots of jerking off but my money is on the President.

Isn't it interesting the way this new positive poster is being gang-bullied?

It's a mob mentality and it's really disgusting.

Actually, Pharma has not been fighting all that hard against the legislation, and as you know, they had a big victory on importation yesterday.

115. You should never give money to any campaign
If your purpose is more than to help elect the person. Nobody is going to be good enough for you, the higher the office, the more that will be true.
