and fluff pieces on the so-called "news" shows, what does that tell us about the state of US Journalism.

I learned more about what is going on in the ten or so minutes John Stewart interviewed Joe Biden than had I spent a whole day watching the 'real" journalists on the cable infotainment channels.

Pathetic.

On edit: got rid of an I

1. Good point. But perhaps the Daily Show has a larger audience?
Maybe? Hopefully?

I at least hope all of US saw it. Joe the Hottness gave some great answers. ..... lol, except for the last one where he conceeded that one of the members of the Democratic caucus is a socialist. lol

2. Of course, it's a
crazy world and the craziest part is the US so-called "media". Where up is down and straight is crooked.

And, you get the real news on Comedy Central or a few places on msnbc.

3. Not everyone can be bought.
And Biden is so right on. It's not often that I agree with someone on much of what they have to say, in the higher levels of government. He's just a normal guy. That's what's so hard to believe.

The Daily Show crew wants to discover the truth AND use novel means to enlighten us. I grew up around people like those writers, so it's natural for me. But in contrast to the method of operation of the so-called journalists in this country, it's a diseased state of affairs. They've catered to the lowest common denominator- the love of money. Not the truth, but the dollar. It's infuriating. That's why I've watched every Daily Show from the very beginning. I still don't believe how long they've lasted. I never thought they'd make it past year two. It's nice being wrong.

5. Agree. It was short and to the point
Jon Stewart really wanted to know, as opposed to Blitzer and Matthews - and I don't know about the foxes - who just want gotcha.

6. Contrary to the lies that O'Reilly would have us believe
Studies have shown that people who watch the Daily Show actually know more about what's going on in the world than those that watch his show or Fox News in general.
