Chris Matthews just reported that on MSNBC. Obama didn't want to take away from the headline he WANTS to be in the media-about jobs and the economy.

1. I hope it's to apologize for his past advocacy of draconian gun laws
The last two years have been encouraging as he has left the gun issue alone. Let's keep it that way.

11. You were advocating public policy based on anecdote in the
post I responded to. According to BJS violent crime is at 20+ year lows.

9. Advocacy of anything much beyond

better enforcement of already existing laws which are currently not being enforced, better access for people to mental health services, and better reporting to NICS those with mental health issues will do nothing but increase gun/ammo sales and alienate a huge voting block who supported him in 2008.
