In The Know: Palin wants to do Rahm's job, not Obama's
By Christina Wilkie - 11/17/09 05:56 PM ET

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin would like to be White House Chief of Staff, she told People magazine.

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin would like to be White House Chief of Staff, she told People magazine, when asked what job she would want in the White House if she had to "start tomorrow."

In an interview released Tuesday, Palin explained that she wanted the notoriously taxing job "so that I could start appointing people who would recognize those things that America needs to get our economy back on the right track and to secure our nation."

2. Add "White House Chief of Staff" to the list of jobs Sarah Palin is
grossly unqualified for.

She doesn't even know what the Chief of Staff is supposed to do. Rahm must have fallen backwards out of his chair laughing when he saw this.

4. Why didn't she ask bush for that job
and since she is so "all knowing" she could have steered him on a course, which did not include starting a war with a neutral country.

9. Visualize another Karen Hughes wreaking havoc in the White House
Both are fluent in Fundie codespeak, their only qualification.

I'm surprised Sarah darling didn't want to be appointed ambassador to Alaska.

14. "The Odd Lies of sarah palin" by Andrew Sullivan
<snip>

"After you have read these, ask yourself: what wouldn't Sarah Palin lie about if she felt she had to?

Palin lied when she said the dismissal of her public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, had nothing to do with his refusal to fire state trooper Mike Wooten; in fact, the Branchflower Report concluded that she repeatedly abused her power when dealing with both men.

Palin lied when she repeatedly claimed to have said, "Thanks, but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere; in fact, she openly campaigned for the federal project when running for governor.

Palin lied when she denied that Wasilla's police chief and librarian had been fired; in fact, both were given letters of termination the previous day.

Palin lied when she wrote in the NYT that a comprehensive review by Alaska wildlife officials showed that polar bears were not endangered; in fact, email correspondence between those scientists showed the opposite.

Palin lied when she claimed in her convention speech that an oil gas pipeline "began" under her guidance; in fact, the pipeline was years from breaking ground, if at all.

Palin lied when she told Charlie Gibson that she does not pass judgment on gay people; in fact, she opposes all rights between gay spouses and belongs to a church that promotes conversion therapy.

Palin lied when she denied having said that humans do not contribute to climate change; in fact, she had previously proclaimed that human activity was not to blame.

Palin lied when she claimed that Alaska produces 20 percent of the country's domestic energy supply; in fact, the actual figures, based on any interpretation of her words, are much, much lower.

Palin lied when she told voters she improvised her convention speech when her teleprompter stopped working properly; in fact, all reports showed that the machine had functioned perfectly and that her speech had closely followed the script.

Palin lied when she recalled asking her daughters to vote on whether she should accept the VP offer; in fact, her story contradicts details given by her husband, the McCain campaign, and even Palin herself. (She later added another version."

I just ran across these in my email and thought it was appropriate to post it when I saw a palin thread to get her even more in perspective. This was posted a couple of days ago..maybe even by you.:)

15. WTF?!
"so that I could start appointing people who would recognize those things that America needs to get our economy back on the right track and to secure our nation"

She does know that.. ahem.. the PRESIDENT actually does this too, right? Like he actually APPROVES all of the appointee's?

Wow.. she really is an idiot, isnt' she? But, then again.. she didn't know what a Vice President did 2 months before she took the job, so why are any of us surprised, really?

17. You sound bitter, and misinformed. You're giving him a lot of
'credit' he doesn't deserve. And you think the Dem party is being destroyed? I don't. I'd still prefer to be a Dem than a rethug any day of the week. Now destruction of the rethug party? That's debatable.

18. I'm pretty sure the Chief of Staff works insane hours, almost as stressful as the pres.
I think Rahm is the first one there usually at something like 6AM and doesn't leave until 9 or 10 at night. Same thing with both of Bush's (Card and Bolton). Chief of Staff pretty much directly handles everything surrounding the president.

Does Sarah really want that job when she couldn't even stick it out as Governor of Alaska?
