We want compromise?
Democrats heart compromise: One story-line that doesn't get enough attention is that Dem voters want their leaders to compromise with the opposition far more than GOP voters do, and the new NBC/WSJ poll confirms this:

In all, 63% of Democrats polled said they wanted to see Democratic leaders in Washington make compromises to gain consensus on legislation...In contrast, Republicans are evenly split on the question of whether their party's leaders should compromise, with 47% saying they want compromise and 47% saying their leaders should stick to their positions.

Easy enough to poo-poo, (I'm not one to take to seriously ONE poll) but remember a USA Today/Gallup poll said the same thing a month ago...

Meanwhile, the poll also found that Democrats were more willing to work to find middle ground; they are twice as likely as Republicans to support compromise between leaders. Yet Republicans are more than twice as likely as Democrats to believe it important for leaders to stick to their values even if it means government progress will be stymied.

1. And
Water is wet.

And any discussion of water soon becomes a dry subject.

And Obama is a divider. Bush was a unifier, but Obama is dividing us. Funny, eh?
